Website Instruction and informations

This website has been developed in order to satisfy accessibility needs for a large number of users

There are no pages with frames. Tables are used for page formatting.

In order to avoid ambiguity between formatting tables and data tables both are commented. If the user accesses to the website using a text browser, tables are correctly linearised keeping the contents in a logic way easily readable.

Website graphical aspect is kept constant between pages using style sheet.
The contents are still accessible and easily readable even if the browser does not support stylesheet.

Images in the website have only graphical purpose, and generally are used to show logos.
By using the tag 'ALT' are all briefly commented, and when needed the tag 'LONGDESC' is used to give a longer description.

The website map allow an easy orientation between the various sections of EU.FOR.ME website.

Some access key have been setted up:

  • 1 key goes to the Home Page
  • 2 key goes to the Main Menu
  • 3 key goes to the section menu
  • 4 key goes to the page contents

In order to activate the access key, it should be pressed togheter with another special key. This key may vary between Operating System and Browser combination, in general we can say:

  • ALT key in Microsoft windows with Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox browser
  • CMD key in Macintosh system
  • ALT key in Linux system
